Re: Worldtrade Course

I would think the label should be very basic, as John would suggest. Perhaps
more like a utilitarian item as opposed to a cosmetic / aesthete item.

Is there a demand for the product? Who said there is one?

If not a market then it would be better as a "western concoction" that carries
with it all the glamour and image...missing?

The name would have to reflect it would seem so esoteric "psychographic theme"
from within that culture. What do they dream about there? Is beauty forbidden
and needing to be covered?

only 2 cents,

Re: Worldtrade Course

<to Egypt. I got all the certificates required for the ministry of
health over there. This cream is a natural hormone cream. I also have
the letter of exclussivity from th Lab that produces the cream. The
question I have concerns the packaging and labels since I want to use
my own labels on the cream. Or is it a bad idea? and also can you give
me some tips on marketing the cream. Is it a good idea to enter into
partnership for something like that? I also need some names for
companies that provide good quality and good price packaging and
labels. You see this is my very first time do something like that and
everyone left and right is trying to advice me and that is why I am
taking your course. Please help me.
thank you,

Laila,

Thank you for your note. As an exporter, your job is to prepare the product
for your buyer overseas. Each of the questions you ask above ought to be
answered by your customer in Egypt.

My guess is you do not have a customer in Egypt, so you are hoping I can
naswer the questions. I am flattered you think me so wise as to know what
Egyptians like best. I really have no idea.

Without a customer first, you may have wasted your time getting the permits
from the ministry. In any event, an exclusive from the lab is worthless
because at any time anyone can get around any exclusive.

As to labels, this is very simple, but I would do nothing until you have a
customer in Egypt who tells you exactly what he wants on the label, if
anything at all. Perhaps he prefers no labels.
