The Assassination of Benazir Bhutto

With the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, it is a good time to publish my book review on THE PATHAN UNARMED, the story of the nonviolent movement early last century in what is today Pakistan.

It is an unsafe thing to be someone whose death is beneficial to extremists on both sides of a conflict. Better to practice nonviolence than moderation.

Entrepreneurship And Charity

As I read more and more on "charities" and fraud, as in one of the articles for today, I am ever more convinced that charity is an area where entrepreneurship would be welcome. About the only charity out there that is not somehow tainted, it seems to me, is the Salvation Army, and the story of "General Booth" and how he started and organized his outfit 150 years ago is an excellent example of how it is done.
