Folks,
Following up my argument in class about medicines and international
competition, here is an article about German scientists in Korea developing
medicines. Another problem with patents is R&D money is directed toward
patentable items, not unpatentable. In this article the items are
unpatentable, but likely marketable.
Also, at the small biz level, by developing unpatentable items, we are less
likely to have conservators steal our ideas, since they cannot have a
monopoly.
