Tax rules are so complex, and although it is debatable, there is at least the
idea that the tax laws are designed to encourage entrepreneurial efforts,
that I believe a good accountant is very important.

Much of the benefit of being self-employed is 'lifestyle' and your accountant
cn do much to help you make your company support your desired lifestyle.

In Seattle and most any town there are small biz accountants charge somewhere
between $25 and $50 an hour. The more you do your own books, the less they
have to charge. You can usually find them listed in the back of alternative
newspapers. Just check references.

As far as an expertise in "int'l trade", no that is not necessary. The tax
laws apply to business in USA and in that respect you are no different than
any other, so don't take that into consideration.
