What you pay for a sample matters not; what it is worth is what the duty
depends on... "Samples of No Commercial Value" and thus not dutiable must be
effectly destroyed to meet teh test of no commercial value. The shoes must have
large holes drilled thru, somethign like this. Normally, since you are
apssionate about teh item, defacing it would be heartbreaking, and any duty
needed to
be paid would be a small price to get teh samples, even if they never sell and
only grace your personal effects.
