Need Recommendation on Tax Accountant

Re: [spiers] Need Recommendation on Tax Accountant

I would recommend that you contact Ted Hilliard at Hilliard Management Group
in Oakland, CA. Phone is 510-655-2041. They offer a full range of business
financial services. Ted is also a trainer at SBA in San Francisco.

I hope this helps!
Julia

RE: [spiers] Need Recommendation on Tax Accountant

The very best in the area is Norm Golden. I have used Norm for years and
continue to be impressed with his knowledge, attention to detail and hard
work. Norm is located in San Mateo. Check out www.goldentax.com.

***It will clear customs if it clears FDA... so the trick is the FDA. The
FDA tests some 20% of ceramics for lead, and fails about 25%...meaning a whole
lot gets past them... but don't run the risks... get samples of what you'll
bring in, and have your broker run them past the FDA...

Now, it is not unknown that samples are 'lead-free" but production is
"lead-laden" so we get back to know your supplier and know them to be first
rate.***

My other question is we have a line of bottle opener products...this

line would be quite different, is there anything to be aware of by

setting up two lines?

Need Recommendation on Tax Accountant

Hi guys,

I need recommendations on a good tax accountant(CPA) to do my business tax.
I live in Bay Area(area code 650) and have a business on import/export
between China and U.S. The person I am looking for better be familiar with
my business and also not too expensive. Any suggestions and recommendations
would be highly appreciated.

FDA approval for plates

Hi John and group,

First of all, John, I really enjoy and appreciate your pieces on the
economic outlook for 2005. Can't wait for the next ones!

We are working on some designs of bamboo lacquer decorative plates
from Vietnam that could be used to serve food. What approval do we
need to make sure that the product is safe to touch food and clear
FDA and customs?

My other question is we have a line of bottle opener products...this
line would be quite different, is there anything to be aware of by
setting up two lines?

Thanks again for all you do,
Paul
