I just gave my wife a guided tour through the political landscape by taking her through the Washington State Republican Convention. She met many fine people, none of whom will vote for McCain, or probably any other Republican, something like 40% or the delegates.
Without my prompting, she found the whole thing rigged. And this is the republicans.
It is all theatre. I don't think Hillary will have Obama whacked like some Vince Foster, but between now and the August convention very much can be learned about a man we know very little.
The Clintons were so ready to destroy Colin Powell in 1996 he withdrew from the Republican presidential ticket (Yes, from My Lai to MIA's Powell would have become less popular than Farrakhan after the Clintons were done.) If Obama withdraws, who is left?
Hillary, because almost 1/2 republicans will not vote for McCain. The next 8 years will be all dems, all the time, with Hillary on top.

We knew quite a bit about Bush;
He was an alcoholic
He used cocaine
He had drunk driving arrests
He was AWOL
He was a poor businessman
He was a poor student
Yet Bush was elected. And even after his disastrous first term of standing by while Rome burns, Bush was elected again. What could possibly top this list? What terrible hidden Obama secret is waiting to be told?
