Restore American Agriculture!

It breaks my heart to see someone who has such a wonderful grasp of the problem, and how we got here, then go on to come up with "more of the same" solutions. Yes, farming in America is a terrible thing in practice, and yes, we need to get back to what this fellow calls for. But government programs got us here, but cannot get us out. property rights would do it. Respecting property rights is necessary for improvement, and it would be sufficient.

I am a lifelong member of a food coop here in Seattle, all hard corp "back to Eden" types, but the food is very good. Did I say "but?" Well, their politics are so very left wing, I am a fish out of water among them. But to eat well I overlook political differences.

it breaks my heart to see what has happened to our food, read:

contemplating GMO contamination, irradiation and other methods of destroying the nutrients in food and it becomes scarier & scarier to go into the regular grocery. Look at what Monsanto does to farmers, look at the suicide rate they cause among farmers to say nothing of the health of people see farmer Percy Schmeiser. It seems ok to destroy the world as long as a few big companies make a lot of money, news of the problems of this technology is suppressed, ruthlessly. scary. grow your own, eat the weeds, they are better for you!
