Global Warming, like the Global War on Terror, is simply a ruse to advance imperialism and hold back third world development. Since a consensus among USA scientists is without imperialism, their grants will dry up, USA scientists promote Global Warming, comforting themselves it is less violent than the Global War on Terror. Being against Global Warming puts a halo on oppression.
The problem with habitually subscribing to bad science is one becomes second rate. Indian scientists have rejected Global Warming claims, which is consistent with the science. On these trajectories, USA will fall behind in Science, India will move ahead. China is already moving ahead, since they have already rejected Global Warming as science.
