Mish Shedlock is celebrating public opinion turning against unions, as demonstrated by a survey. This shift alarms me. I've written on unions before, and I am pro-union in the sense I am pro-farmer who steals from invading enemy troops who have burned his crops. In USA, the invading enemy is the fascist big biz/ big govt axis. When the unions movement was born, it was in opposition to this fascist axis. The unions demanded, and got, a cut of the flow of funds from empire. Today the union leadership are bought and paid for by big biz/big govt (WalMart supports Obamacare!) My lament is there is no longer an anti-fascist labor movement in USA. Without anti-fascism, we will, well, get fascism, or got it.
It is fun to note, that the progressive who shop at Whole Foods despise that private employer's views on health care coverage, and at the same time their hated WalMart supports their progressive aims on health care. Sigh.
