Chinese Sunglasses

Seems there has been some trouble with sunglasses from China not being up to code.  The FDA intervenes and has issued a seize on sight advisory to USCustoms.

My objection to the FDA, among many other things, is the false security we get from the fact that they intervene in SOME things, but they cannot catch most things.  On the other hand, the importer can catch all things, since they import.

We have a system where due to the false sense of security, scammers can import vast amounts of product without ever getting caught, and if caught, disappear.  Before usury corrupted our system, people were so integrated that anyone in business was so tied in to others that any such shenanigans would get you ostracized.

We see this in places like Hong Kong, where the people are no better than anywhere else, but the system makes it the kiss of death to rip someone else off.  We need to recover that polity.

Feel free to forward this by email to three of your friends.
