reetings all:
During the course of Christmas shopping at a "leading" retail
establishment I
purchased a cosmetic case for my wife that contained numerous items. I
thought
I would share the origin of the items contained in the case with the
group:
Nail Polish - U.S.A.
Eyeshadow - China
Lipstick - China
Lip Crayon - Taiwan
Blusher - China
Mascara - Mexico
Face Powder - Taiwan
Eye Liner - China
Lip Liner - Taiwan
Misc. Brushes - Korea
Pencil Sharpeners - Taiwan
Brushes - China
Designed, Packaged, & Distributed - U.S.A.
My point? This is distributed by a small company in California that
found a
market, suppliers, and distribution channels. It is probable that the
company
concentrated on development of the market (sales) and "outsourced"
everything
else.
Your thoughts John?
