While I certainly agree with Ginger's assessment in principle, I must respectfully disagree with Ginger's last statement: "....[WTO] an idealistic dream much akin to socialism." Socialism, in theory, is a philisophical, ideological, sociologivcal construct. The WTO is merely a scheme by megacorporate interests to solidify power, control, and profits to its constituent corporate interests. To elevate its description to that of an "idealistic dream" insults everyone who has ever had an idealistic or altruistic thought. Socialistic theories lay out utopian ideals for society; the WTO is just pure unmitigated greed.
