Folks,

Check out the last paragraph of this article...they are figuring it out, it

Need recommendation for shipping company

Re: [spiers] Need recommendation for shipping company

Of course you can always call around, but your Freight Forwarder ought to be
able to lay out some options. Another route is to quote the price FOB SFO
meaning the buyer in China will line up his own freight, presumably the best
from
your buyer's point of view.

JE Lowden (Freight Forwarder) in San Franciso may be able to help. Sorry, I
don't have their number.

Best regards,

Drug Costs

Now please keep in mind, the villain is not the drug companies or Wlagreens,
but the inherently wrong patent protection regime. If there was no patent
protection regime in the USA then drugs would be as cheap, plentiful and safe as
candy, yet with far more choices.

To limit access to the industry, there is also govt regs and hoops to jump
thru. Herbert Coase demonstrated that regulators become captives of those they
regulate, so please study up on his work before telling me the drug companies
will kill all their customers if the govt was not in on the deal.

I have a drug company, a doctor, a pharmacist all watching out for me, and
insurance companies breathing down all our necks. We need an FDA, too?

In the measure we deregulate, we get more selection, better quality, better
service, superior safety, and lower prices. Drugs are a good place to start.

Drug Costs

I know that this is one of John's favorite free-trading studies.
Question: if Walgreens is marking-up by 10000+ percent, then how can I
benefit? How do I use the same distribution channel? Hmmm, maybe I
should take an interest in drug importing...

Why buy Costco ? Because they

consistently charged little over their cost for the generic
drugs .

Did you ever wonder how much it costs a drug company for the
active
ingredient in prescription medications?
Some people think it must cost a lot, since many drugs sell for
more than $2.00 per tablet.
We did a search of offshore chemical synthesizers that supply
the active ingredients found
in drugs approved by the FDA. As we have revealed in past issues
of Life Extension,
a significant percentage of drugs sold in the United States
contain active ingredients made in other countries.

In our independent investigation of how much profit drug
companies really
make, we obtained the actual price of active ingredients used in

Sourcing.

Re: [spiers] Sourcing.

it all depends... what does the research process into the source reveal... do
your competitors work thru an agent, or directly, for this item you are sourcing
from the best place in the world? Do what they do...

john

Hi John and all!

What's better? Sourcing through a sourcing company that has
connections with vendors in a few countries or going directly to the
vendors which may require some international travelling?
