Phonebloks - Modular Smart Phones

Now this is interesting.  I recommend it to as many people as possible.  I am a fan of Apple computer, but I've noticed their offerings are getting less customizable, and more complicated.  They cost too much to do too much.  I used to buy an Apple about every ten years, now after five years, the things get resistance from the web.   (If no video below, go here...)

Sure, absolutely, do this for phones.  But for computers to.  They charge too much to do too much.

But don't let google or apple dominate this.  Make it crowdsource, and someone, someday, make Linux work for people other than computer science phds.  Here is at least one alternative.

It would be great to move away from the mass producers. Now this is cool...  I'd love to see this happen, and go further, take it to computers...

I don't want a smart phone, I still use a flip phone...

and the things could be designed to recycle easier, after the ten year wear-out period....  peel off the gold, separate silicon, extract the rare earth metals....  instead of just dump...

Feel free to forward this by email to three of your friends.
