Selling Into Canada: Non-Resident Importer (NRI)

Farrow is a customsbroker/freight forwarder that bought a USA-based CHB/FF a friend of mine started 30 years ago, and it is working hard to build market through education.  Here is an interesting webinar:

Join us for our webinar:
Date: July 8th, 2015Time: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm EDT
In our webinar, you’ll learn that by becoming an NRI, US exporters are able to exercise greater control over their supply chain into Canada without having an actual physical presence north of the border.

Here is a link to the registration, quoted at $100, which I don't know if that is US$ or C$ (prox US$90)...

Frankly I advise people selling to Canada simply require FOB terms, but maybe this would work out to the advantage of some USA exporter.

Feel free to forward this by email to three of your friends.

On this blog you speak about the wrongs that others are doing. What are you doing except ranting about it? How can people take you seriously enough, because I do think you have a good idea of right and wrong.

My hope is that you'll write a book that people can actually critique and debate.

Well, my rants are not about what others are doing, but what we Americans are doing. I am just as guilty of these destabilizations of other countries, wars, bank bailouts, funny money, etc as those who are doing it, because I benefit from the looting that goes on along with it as much as any other American. So my first job is to object.

As to what to do about it, the most revolutionary act an american can perform is start a business. (The Hegemon obviously adores violence, so any violence is supporting the bad guys. Violence is never a solution.)

My books are pretty tame, they simply repeat what I learned from masters about building a solid business, which includes some esoteric stuff, like compete on design, not price, wealth is not what you can accumulate, but the range of goods and services least of us can afford with his own income...

What I end up putting in books cannot really be critiqued or debated, since it is rather timeless how-to.

But feel free to critique or debate any rants I offer, i welcome them...

But what I don't understand is why you don't write something about economics or philosphy or social justice? Two thirds of all of your blog posts are about one of these and you obviously havea passion for it. The import export stuff I can imagine you're just doing to earn a living.

But I am not a philosopher, economist or socialist. I studied all those, and geography too, but I am not a geographer. And there are plenty of people far better at those things than me who can and do write on them. I put their books on the blog to the left, and I'd be happy to recoomend:

Law: Transformation of American Law, Morton Horwitz

Philosophy: Aquinas, City of God

Economics: Rothbard - What has Government Done to Our Money (as a start)

Social Justice: Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church (you can get these last three free on the web...)

I don't like crimes done in my name, and I like a milieu in which all can thrive, with wealth defined as the degree to which the widest group of people has access to the widest range of goods and services within the means they themselves can produce, as opposed to wealth defined as personal accumulation.

So I'll write on where I am not only the best, I am the only voice - small business international trade.
