Happy Martin Luther King Day

There was a trial that found there was a conspiracy to murder Martin Luther King, and it took over 30 years to get that far.

After four weeks of testimony and over 70 witnesses in a civil trial in Memphis, Tennessee, twelve jurors reached a unanimous verdict on December 8, 1999 after about an hour of deliberations that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated as a result of a conspiracy. In a press statement held the following day in Atlanta, Mrs. Coretta Scott King welcomed the verdict, saying , “There is abundant evidence of a major high level conspiracy in the assassination of my husband, Martin Luther King, Jr. And the civil court's unanimous verdict has validated our belief.

It is an interesting case with lots of interesting findings.  Such as the fact there were two active duty military units observing the assassination, an intel unit apparently filing it and a sniper team.

How come they were there? Neither liberals nor conservators when in power have ever inquired into this.  Well, because they want a fake MLKing to honor, not the real one.

The real one said the USA was the greatest purveyor of violence in the world.  A year to the day that he said that, he was dead.  An open court found it was a high level conspiracy.

Trump Victory: Cleaning the Stables

As I have said, the real problem is when Trump delivers no improvements.  A productive core in the USA got Obama elected, hoping for change from the warmongering Bailout Bushes.  They got burned by Obama. That same core that got Obama elected just elected Trump.  There will be trouble when yet again there is no change.

The hegemon does seem to be interested in reining in the intel world, an out-of-hand independent nation causes havoc to the Hegemon.  Just as the donors to the Cinton foundation, such as the people in the Norway government who donated a half billion to them for personal advantage, a whole lotta payback goin' on.

Here is an interesting example:

Mr Steele, who friends say fears for his safety, has gone into hiding while the veracity of the claims made in his dossier, and his own reputation, continue to be fiercely debated.

Forget the specifics of his story.  Although as a secret agent, he was unlikely to be much of a secret to the "enemy, " now that he has been officially outed, his network of contacts and beneficiaries worldwide are now in trouble.

Think about the lesson here, share info with the FBI or USA intel, and your life is in danger.

After 9-11 800 new "intelligence" agencies were created, along with the "full employment act" TSA. USA can afford neither, both in money and counterproductive results.  Before the necessary crackdown on USA, in USA, any possible rogue agencies must be eliminated.

We will all cheer this process of elimination, the collectivization of intel in USA.  Like he Ukrainians who cheered both the Soviet overthrow of the Tsar and the nazi overthrow of the Soviets.

What Happens When Trump Delivers Naught

Let's see:

Hillary would have won if:

A. The majority ruled, and not the Electoral College.

B. If the Russians had not thrown the election with the email hacks.

As to A, well, we have a Republic, not a democracy.  Trump ran a campaign based on a Electoral College win, and campaigned accordingly.  He won.  If we did not have an electoral college system, then whatever that system was would have called forth a different strategy to win.

Without an electoral college, Trump would have won there too.

What is very pleasant is to listen to the losers, who were the policy winners for so long, recite utterly delusional reasons for Hillary's loss.  They simply cannot comprehend that half of the electorate detests the status quo, and wanted change.  Hillary lost the voters.

I think if Hillary had not destroyed Sanders,  and it was SAnders V any Republican besides Trump, Sanders would have won.  Enough people want change, and in Sanders V say Rubio, Sanders would have won, with Rubio just as shocked today.

As to B, if the Russians hacked the emails (probably), and if they released them (unlikely), then what did they release?  Facts.  Truth.  So the argument is, since the people got the truth, Hillary lost?

How screwed up is that?

All policies have winners and losers, and it seems the winners of the last forty years have come to imagine an entitlement, and cannot imagine the losers as having any legitimacy in any case, indeed I had a friend exclaim just how bleeping stupid Trump supporters were to vote for Trump.  Well, I think it means they just voted against the policies that vex them.

As I said, it is a pleasant experience to hear entrenched political partisans whine and their delusional explanations, for it means they will not effect any changes that might bring them back.

If and when they begin saying "Hillary lost because she was a crazed, criminal warmonger... and we need to establish means to protect ourselves from such.." then the right can begin to worry.

Until then, the real problem is when Trump supporters realize he cannot improve things much, if at all. When both sides are disillusioned and sober.

Change. Kidding!

After Adm Poindexter was shot down for his Total Information Awareness initiative regarding the internet, the CIA moved into Silicon Valley and began picking, if not designing, winning companies with https://www.iqt.org/  Check them out the ones for which they openly claim credit.

For my part I have no doubt that google is the big daddy of all the UBER, Amazon, Twitter, Facebook,  ebay, paypal, ad nauseum with the narrative of whiz kids running them.  This recruits kids to work for them, with the lure "you too can be Sergey!"  It works.

Google is now Alphabet, a joke meaning it replaces all the alphabet agencies.

Now comes this notice:

Why Are They Crying?

The hegemon's minions are full of fear and loathing.  I admire Noam Chomsky, but he himself seems to have gone off the rails:

On Nov. 8, the most powerful country in world history, which will set its stamp on what comes next, had an election. The outcome placed total control of the government—executive, Congress, the Supreme Court—in the hands of the Republican Party, which has become the most dangerous organization in world history

Calm down, Noam, nothing is going to change.  Yet.

What is in play is the hegemon, as is its wont, is going to reorder things a bit.  This mean those depending on the hegemon for their sinecures are at risk.  And Noam Chomsky has had a tenure at a University that lives off government contracts.  Nice gig, but it may be over.  But Noam, your 85 and made your name and money.  This has nothing to do with you!

With the end of ex nihilo credit comes the end of all that it financed.  The pensions are empty, and USA is bankrupt... if you want to know who the hegemon abandoned most last week with the election of Trump, who is crying the loudest.

1. Neocon warmongers - they say stay away from Trump.

2. "Education" - see Chomsky above.

3.  Wall Street - the ex nihilo credit regime is dead, the country is bankrupt, and financial engineering os over.  yikes...!  Find a job?

4. Silicon Valley - most of it is false economy... what is there is intel-driven... the new ABC agencies... google, eBay, facebook, Amazon, Twitter, UBER, Tesla, ad nauseum.  It depended on Wall Street.

5. Lobbyists... when credit was ex nihilo, anything could be financed, so lobbyists were there to corrupt politicians.

The list goes on, if they are crying, they were in the false economy.

Nothing changes here for small business.  They are addressing ex nihilo credit, but that applies only to those whose sinecure depends on it.    The self-employed don't.  Nothing has changed if you work for yourself, except relief that war is less likely now.

When real estate drops 70 or 80%, and taxes go up to 90%, then we'll be benefitting.

Hong Kong: The Only Place the Election Mattered

Shares in Shenzhen-listed Wisesoft, a computer software company whose Chinese name “chuan da zhi sheng” is a homophone for “Trump wins big”, rose 4.6 percent by the noon break, even as the wider market fell.

At the same time:

At the same time shares in the Yunnan Xiyi Industrial company, whose name sounds like the Mandarin word for “Hillary shares” plunged 9.5 percent on the Shenzhen exchange.

My Daughter, LA Rioter

I was in LA last weekend teaching a seminar and visiting with my daughter.  She joined the day time Trump protests, which is most natural since she is an editor at a liberal rag.    She described what went on, more or less:

The daytime protest marchers wandered around looking for a freeway onramp to enter but the Highway Patrol was having none of that.  Marchers were high-fiving cops and it was all peaceful.  Then the night time protest starts later. And the night time cops come out.  Although the protesters are mostly peaceful, the fringies tag along and look for mayhem opportunities.  The cops are ready.

For "law and order" imagery, the cops surround a few hundred peaceful demonstrators on four sides and order them to disperse or they will be arrested.  They cannot disperse, shades of Tien An men.  So the cops arrest nonviolent protestors (meaning an easy time getting the numbers). The cops get a good image "arresting" 200, the film crews get footage of some knuckleheads elsewhere breaking windows,  and everyone on both sides gets their worst fears confirmed by the media.

(I have a nephew who has been arrested for protesting in LA, and the charges are routinely dropped if nonviolent.  Nothing will happen to the 200 arrested.)

It is all literally street theatre.

Nothing has changed.

China USA Trade War?

Trade wars are the precursor to hot wars, and apparently (I never followed the election news) Trump promised to start a trade war with China and slap 45% duties on Chinese products.

During his election campaign this year, Trump spoke of a 45 percent import tariff on all Chinese goods while failing to outline how it would work. Should any such policy come into effect, China will take a "tit-for-tat approach", according to an opinion piece in the Global Times, a newspaper backed by the Communist party.

"A batch of Boeing orders will be replaced by Airbus. U.S. auto and iPhone sales in China will suffer a setback, and U.S. soybean and maize imports will be halted. China can also limit the number of Chinese students studying in the U.S.," the Global Times article read.

Only 45%?  When I began my career in int'l trade back in the early 1970s, I was filling out the form 7501 customs declarations for the goods we were importing from China.  The duties started at 50% on Chinese goods, and went up from there to over 100%.   It wasn't until 1980 Jimmy Carter normalized trade with China that duties went down to the column one rates.  (Another reason Jimmy Carter was my favorite president in my lifetime.)

In effect, did consumers enjoy lower prices at retail on Chinese products due to a landed cost price drop of thirty to fifty percent?  No.  China is a communist country, a command economy, just like USA.  Just as Nixon could command a wage a price freeze, so the ChiComs just commanded that prices to USA importers would rise just right to achieve the same landed cost in USA.  Prices at USA retail changed not.  China merely earned more.  (Another reason it is nuts to trade directly with China, always have a Hong Kong agent. The can get you the lower price other countries pay.)

But this history does not matter, since nothing changed with the election of Trump.  Trump will not slap anything on anyone. It's just a negotiation position. Just as the hegemon scammed liberals with Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders, so the conservators have been had with Trump.  Trump's two big platforms were immigration and Romney/Obamacare, and in his first interview (60 Minutes) he is walking back his promises on both.

I told you.

Also, he is walking back investigating Hillary.  He won't keep any other promises either.

How a Trump Victory Could Mean World War

In the 1980s a floppy disk was on the export control list, and item with "dual use" technology, meaning it could hold cookie recipes, or nuclear bomb plans. It was illegal to export those to China.  The State Department decided what could or could not be exported. Never mind China could buy all they wanted anywhere else, USA would never help its enemies.

Based on this silly rules, USA industry balked, and then the opportunistic Clinton presidency went the other way, approving critical satellite technology transfer in the Loral scandal to China.  The floodgates opened.  We even prosecute any government worker who exposes crime and treason, such as Edward Snowden.

As Lenin predicted, capitalists would see the communists the rope to hang the capitalists.  Just so.

These things take time to grow, and now there is so much industrial espionage under the Bush/Obama/Clinton claque that a system to manage it had to be established.  The solution was the Clinton foundation where you made your pay-to-play "donation" and then you were given a pass to visit the State Department where Hillary would meet you and give a pass for whatever you wanted, and usually it was selling to the enemy, one way or another.

Now given this scenario, why would any emerging power, say China, get into a war with USA.  It could buy, with ex nihilo credit, anything it wanted from USA, and if necessary, hack its way to the prize.  Hillary victory would just mean more of the same.

But with Trump, all that would end.  USA would defend what it has, and no doubt that would cause conflict.  The President of the Philippines sees clearly where USA is going, selling rope to the communists, so he switched sides.  Under a Trump, he might switch back.  Point is, if the treason stops then our power begins to return, and then....?

The irony is Hillary wanted to be not the first woman president, but the greatest ever, and that would necessarily mean the biggest war ever.  Ironical, that, treason and greed would never let her get her way.

Capitalism, people do the wackiest things.  We need free markets.

Trump: Why Government Hates Business

Now "big business" and government are one in the same, Boeing and the Defense Department are one. Usually when I say business, I mean authentic business, businesses that are not dependent on the government to exist.

There are plenty of small businesses that depend on the government to exist.  The system in which the government and business are one is called fascism.  Long ago the USA tipped over the line to fascism.

It is so blatant the government long ago announced the agricultural/industrial policy of the USA is "get big or get out."  (Sometimes you'll hear it as "go big or go home.")

Small businesses tend to be authentic, not dependent on the government.  In fact, it is because they figured out how to work around the goofy rules they stay productive.  To destroy that part of the economy, the hegemon has inheritance taxes.  Billionaires get around this with "Foundations."

In the hegemon's calculation, Trump is considered a small businessman.  And he acts like one.  He sees the games for what they are, works within the bounds and still thrives.  Trump's instincts are attractive to authentic people, and the Hegemon minions are trying to destroy him as if he were a politician.

Both the Hegemon and Trump know the Hegemon can crush Trump in an instant.  But no, Trump is embarrassing the entire hegemon edifice.  Which may be just the thing the Hegemon wants.  Imagine how tiring, boring, embarrassing a Hillary Clinton, and all of her devotees, are to the Hegemon.

Here we have the Clintons and most of progressive USA shaking down governments like third world "leaders" while Russia and China grow,  develop, thrive.  You look around and see what a dump your home has become, and how it stinks, and think...  maybe a change.

It seems to me the Hegemon is letting Trump succeed on his own to see if he can do it.  If he does fair and square (lining up several Clinton rape victims to counter salacious recordings) then OK, he is president.  Not much power in being president outside of bragging rights, so Trump would never be a threat to the hegemon, but he might be useful in cleaning out the stinking rooms of our country.

Will the hegemon let us all thrive, like it is Trump?  Will the Hegemon back off an let USA grow again, so the Hegemon can be proud when compared to Russia and China, who have surpassed us in key areas?  It'll be interesting to watch.

Why Vote for Trump! Why Vote For Trump?

Probably the most fundamental difference between the candidates from which we are supposed to choose is the fact that Hillary is a warmonger and The Donald was consistently and specifically against all of the wars Hillary helped cause.  His analysis and predictions look very good today.

The assumption is had he been in charge, those wars would not have happened, and conditions would be far better.  But we do not know that.  We cannot know that.  All we know is what we saw, what happened.  We have no idea whether if a smarter, calmer, more honest person was in charge, the world would be a better place.  No way to tell.  Would the decisions made by a Sec State Trump, objectively smarter, be better for America but terrified a China into a nuclear war?  We just don't know.

My favorite president in my lifetime was Jimmy Carter, and he kept us out of war, his one adventure an absolute disaster, still plaguing us today, the raid on Iran to free the hostages.  He was good and very smart, indeed one of the smartest, but being a Southerner, assumed to be stupid.  His efforts to defang the CIA was his undoing.

But Hillary and crew are criminal suspects. Yes, so the Bible assures us, Daniel 4:17.

This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

With the death by choo choo train of Wikileaks lawyer after the DNC scandal, the total is some 60 people who displeased the Clintons and came to an untimely end.  Several this year alone.

"Who will rid me of this turbulent priest?"  Just because someone gets whacked, does not mean he who benefitted most directly did it.  It could be underlings who do so on assumption it will please.  On the other hand, it could be the opposition killing one of its own to make a martyr and tar the reputation of the presumed killer.  The Clintons, and their minions, may have never had anything to do any killing at all.

We just don't know.  If we had a better criminal justice system, based on the truth commission models, we'd have a better idea of what is going on.

So what to do if we cannot know?  I find myself as a good Catholic boy, when looking at the candidates on a ballot, calling on Jesus in my distress: "Jesus, help us."  At which point, since I can write in names on a ballot, I do so.  "Jesus" is my vote.  In this way I don't have to vote for the basest of men, and my vote is not wasted.

Too Many Indians and Chinese In USA?

Is this another small move in geopolitical shifts?

The US State Department has temporarily halted EB-1 visa applications from Chinese and Indian nationals due to a "dramatic increase" in worldwide demand for the visas, which are granted to immigrants with extraordinary abilities or skills and want to live in the US.

What was not mentioned, although Chinese and Indians are now maxed out,  is who is getting the other visas?  That would be telling information.

Where Are We?

History gives about 200 to 400 years for an era.  Where are we?  That's the problem, we have no idea.  Sure, there are plenty of systems for spotting it, and they may be right, but then they have nothing to do with any given individual.  Yes, the Lushan rebellion marked the downward spiral for the T'ang dynsasty, but your Da Ming court official family may have been sent to Sichuan before the palace was sacked.  Who knows?

These count for something:

The Defense Department’s Inspector General, in a June report, said the Army made $2.8 trillion in wrongful adjustments to accounting entries in one quarter alone in 2015, and $6.5 trillion for the year. Yet the Army lacked receipts and invoices to support those numbers or simply made them up.

What is the significance?  Who knows?  First it is just credit.  They put it on the tab.  It means someone else (Boeing?  Blackwater? Apple? ISIS...  any of the USA contractors?) is owed that much by we taxpayers.

Second, following the first, were goods and services rendered?   Did some quartermaster buy 2000 iPhones to upgrade combat effectiveness, or to unload into Vietnam, and then make the invoice disappear into the computer system?  Or did he cut out the middleman and just redirect the funds (no iPhones delivered or actually ordered) into to his Philippines bank account, which everyone knows will not report "gambling win accounts" to Uncle Sam.

Why do we have black hole computer systems?   If the IG cannot control the computers, nor the army, then they cannot control who sees what.  I am sure our adversaries enjoy reading our budgets too, and realizing we have no idea what we've got.

This has got to be some sort of deep state move.  A $6.5 trillion unaccounted for (this does not mean missing, just nonsensical accounting) is something everyone at the top knows (I've heard about this before), but to release now in an election season says 1. You'll get more of this with Hillary, 2. Trump would demand an accounting.    Commander in Chief Trump could simply confine all concerned to quarters until their accounts were properly rectified.

And both candidates want more defense money.  Well, I know where the can start...  with $6.5 trillion unaccounted for.  When they have accounted for every dime of that, then they can start cutting, not increasing.

In fact, another way is to simply announce a 10% cut in military budget each year for the next three years.  Guess what?  Each division would account real quick for what they have fearing they might lose a toy or two.

And then this...

(CNN)In the most direct public warning to Moscow and Damascus to date, the new US commander of American troops in Iraq and Syria is vowing to defend US special operations forces in northern Syria if regime warplanes and artillery again attack in areas where troops are located.

Commander of American forcers in Syria?  Since when are we fighting in Syria?  Who declared war? When we learned in 1970 that Nixon had move some military assets into Cambodia, the nation erupted, riots everywhere, students killed by the military on campus...  and to day.... pffffft!  Who cares.  They knew what they were doing going to "all-volunteer" poverty draft.

Where are we now?  Who knows.

Trump's Foreign Policy Speech

Unh!  I wish he would not use the term radical Islam.  Radical comes form the word radix, root... people mean extremist when they say radical.  I esteem myself a radical Christian, and unless I am discussing religion with radical Jews and radical Moslems, I am bored.  Extremist Christians bore me, as do mainstream Christians, Jews and Moslems.  Extremists, Christian, Jew and Moslem, put a halo on violent rent-seeking, they could care less about the religion for which they will kill. And mainstream religious folk are simply embarrassed by the faith claims of their tradition.  They chafe at the requirements of the original, the radical, and explain it away.

And then, in a foreign policy speech opportunity, he centers on Islamic extremists?  Of all of the problems we have?  Well, it is a kind of pandering, social conditioning has made Islamic extremists the witches of today, the commie infiltrators, the child molesters, the bete du jour.  So give them what they want, a speech on Islamic extremism.

It is an OK medium in which to compare and contrast.  Both Hillary and Trump have a record of their ideas on contemporary events.  Trump looks good in his perspicacity, no doubting that.  But who knows what decisions he might have made, and how they might have turned out.  Certainly his actions would have been different, but we cannot know if they would have been better.  Many a slip twixt the cup and the lip.

But as to his speech, here is a .pdf of the text.

After a litany of horrors perpetrated by Moslem criminals, Trump says:

We cannot let this evil continue. 

Nor can we let the hateful ideology of Radical Islam – its oppression of women, gays, children, and nonbelievers – be allowed to reside or spread within our own countries.

Nice pivot!  Front running Hillary... his agenda is the same as Hillary's... fighting immigrant crime is about gay rights!  Did anyone covering this speech notice that? Perhaps he is sincere, but this will put Hillary in a bind, how much of the hundreds of millions in the "Clinton Foundation" is behead-the-gays Saudi money?  At any rate the first eight pages of a 20 page speech states he will end extremism in oppression of gays, kids, women in our own country.  Wait, wasn't this a foreign policy speech?

This is complete nonsense:

Iran, the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, is now flush with $150 billion in cash released by the United States – plus another $400 million in ransom. 55 Worst of all, the Nuclear deal puts Iran, the number one state sponsor of Radical Islamic Terrorism, on a path to nuclear weapons. 56 57

All I can imagine is he knows this is a slanderous characterization of Iran.  And after detailing, in effect, how Hillary is the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism, he decries the USA finally giving back the money we stole nearly 40 years ago.  I think his picking on Iran is tactical.  He has to know that Iran could be our best friend in the Middle East, far better than Israel.  The Iranians are Aryan, not Semitic, and can match Israel for talent and achievement.  Shia Iran has no dog in the Sunni Arab/Jewish fight. Yes, of course they have their hands in plenty of places, but they are also adult supervision, contrary to the smear campaigns.  Iran is strategically located, and protected by both Russia and China.  China's Belt and Road initiative depends on Iran, and Iran welcomes the initiative, but would love to have USA counterbalance to Chinese "friendship."  The Donald's strategy?  By pandering to the socially conditioned "source of all evil in the world" when the Donald makes a sensible peace deal with them, he win-wins: he gets a deal that makes sense anyway from sane actors, and he is the hero who was able to overcome great evil.

A specific example illuminates Trumps thinking:

One more point on this: I have long said that we should have kept the oil in Iraq – another area where my judgement has been proven correct. According to CNN, ISIS made as much $500 million in oil sales in 2014 alone, fueling and funding its reign of terror. 88 If we had controlled the oil, we could have prevented the rise of ISIS in Iraq – both by cutting off a major source of funding, 89 and through the presence of U.S. forces necessary to safeguard the oil and other vital infrastructure. 90 91 I was saying this constantly and to whoever would listen: keep the oil, keep the oil, keep the oil, I said – don’t let someone else get it.

Um... so Cheney was right?  What we wrecked we could have rebuilt in our own image with their own resources?  Again, he agrees we ought never have invaded in the first place, and certainly as the Pope said in so many words "the rape resulted in a child, now you must take care of the child."  What to do? I dunno if keeping the money is the right response after a robbery.  I'd like to see better ideas.

Next:

If I become President, the era of nation-building will be ended. Our new approach, which must be shared by both parties in America, by our allies overseas, and by our friends in the Middle East, must be to halt the spread of Radical Islam.

Yay.  I could not agree more. End nation building, aka, pre-emptive invasions.  But how you put the "must" in "share" I dunno.  Sound like more of the same.  The paragraph starts with "If" but the entire idea is under a laconic "if."  What happens when our partners don't do "what they must?"

Yes!  As I have said here dozens of times, we need only work out a careful unilateral withdrawal and the Russians and the Chinese will strive in the Middle East with no skin off our backs.  Those two countries have the problems in their back yard.  We trespass in their back yards to start trouble.  Terrorists are over here because we were over there first.  Get out!

Unh!  Why?  Let those innocent wrong-place wrong-time cab drivers and mentally deficients just rot to death?  Yes, even if innocent, if released they will kill Americans.  Sure, wouldn't you?  But Bush and Cheney knew that when they set it up.  Tell Dick Cheney to expect visitors and parole them to his house. Dump his problem on his doorstep. I am sure he'd have a 100 Blackwater mercenaries waiting, but it would be his problem to solve. How about we give Guantanamo Bay back to Cuba if they will keep the inmates in Cuba?  i dunno, I don't have these problems because I don't make those crazy decisions that get us into those problems.

If you want to see Moslem crime in USA end, then unilaterally withdraw all troops from the Middle East, and unilaterally declare free trade with all countries, like Hong Kong does.  We have no duties on imports from your countries, nor regulations on your products (USA importers by legal fiction become the manufacturers under USA health and safety laws.)  Such a liberal free trade policy will help everyone, including, women, kids and gays.  (Is it not a bit insulting listing gays with women and kids? I dunno.  I've worked with too many homosexuals to consider them somehow helpless, nor would they.)

To be fair, this was a speech on how to deal with ISIS.  I've never paid any attention, so far, to anything Trump has said (or Hillary for that matter) because neither can do much if anything about the economic problems we have.  Circumstances are directing us.  Problems could be fixed, but the politics will forbid it, and as large as Trump is, he can't do it with his ideas.

And that is what we have.  A specific case, problem, and his response: make the world safe for gays, women, kids.  How is that different than any other politician?  How come Trump is so feared, loathed? I wonder a it, but them I don't watch TV or log on to LifeDrain to be told by The Alphabet what my thoughts will be today.  Fear of Trump is pure social conditioning, street theatre.  He has said nothing anyone can fear.  I am not surprised.

I tend toward anyone anti-war.  Trump has stated he is such, but this one time I've read him, meh.  So at this point, Green Jill Stein or Trump?  Same difference.  Antiwar, I am all for it.  The rest we can't do anything about, except start our own business.

Oligarchy or Hegemon?

Jimmy Carter is my favorite president during my lifetime, for these accomplishments: deregulation of trucking, airlines, beer, telecom, broadcasting and lite dereg of finance (which got abused...) not to mention revert the Panama Canal and work on a peace treaty that sadly got Sadat killed.

No Carter, no good beer.

It takes time for these improvements to take hold, so Reagan reaped the benefits of Carter's work.

Not Kennedy?  No, he got taken too soon, and was too corrupt.  Shouldn't cheat on his wife.

Now Carter says:

Black Swan Event Part Three

A Black Swan event is something no one saw coming.  The more mainstream the calls for a military coup are voiced, the less likely we get that event.  Here is the LA Times calling for a military coup against a Trump Presidency.

Americans viewing the recent failed coup attempt in Turkey as some exotic foreign news story -- the latest, violent yet hardly unusual political development to occur in a region constantly beset by turmoil -- should pause to consider that the prospect of similar instability would not be unfathomable in this country if Donald Trump were to win the presidency.

The more it is demanded, the less it will happen.  On the other hand,  the protocols of the elders of neocon certainly called for a Black Swan event that indeed happened.

The passage suggested that the transformation of American armed forces through "new technologies and operational concepts" was likely to be a long one, "absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor."^[45] Journalist John Pilger pointed to this passage when he argued that Bush administration had used the events of September 11 as an opportunity to capitalize on long-desired plans.^[48]

Well, we got our New Pearl Harbor, 9-11.  Just in time for the floundering Bush Dynasty administration, and the warmongers who protect the welfare state.

Cut every dime of welfare:  cut not one dime of personal welfare until every dime of corporate welfare is cut.  Once every dime of corporate welfare is cut, there will be massive demand for workers to man the economic renaissance, and no one will need welfare.  The charities can handle the extreme cases.

Will Turkey Invade USA?

No informed USA intel or law enforcement person believe Osama Bib Laden had anything to do with 9-11.  The FBI most wanted poster offering $5 million for his capture did not even mention 9-11.  He was not involved.

Nonetheless, USA demanded he be extradited to USA from Afghanistan after 9-11 to stand torture in our legal system.  The Taliban who had been guests in the White House to discuss oil a year before required legal proof OBL was involved before they would entertain the notion, in spite of the fact there was no extradition treaty between the two nations.

Instead of providing evidence, the USA attacked and invaded Afghanistan, a war crime.

Now, Turkey is demanding USA extradite a similarly situated OBL-type living in USA, maybe involved with he Turkey coup.  In spectacular hypocrisy,   USA requires evidence.

Virtually from the Turkish coup’s onset, Erdogan began demanding that Washington arrests and extradite Gulen back to Turkey. After calling Turkish accusations that the US played any role in the attempted power grab“utterly false and harmful,” fork-tongued John Kerry stated that if Ankara hands its evidence over to US authorities that prove the imam is, in fact, responsible for the coup, then the US government will send Gulen back to face trial, but not until then. But because Gulen has been such an integral influential presence and asset in both America’s foreign policy as well as worldwide propagandizing as a school of terrorism machine, the odds are extremely nil that the exiled leader would ever be forced to return to Turkey to face sure death.

So will Turkey attack and invade USA, following USA precedent?  Probably not, but WWIII, necessary to change the topic from economics to something else, will begin over something just as silly.

Got Integrity?

At a meeting where democrats worry about losing to Trump, Hillary assured the huddled masses

“She said there are other issues. People are unhappy and they don’t trust institutions,” the senator explained.

So.  Some of us lost confidence in the hegemon 50 years ago, some 40, some 30, some 20, some 10, some 5, some recently, but by now certainly a tipping point.  A lack of confidence in the integrity of the  presidency, the judiciary, congress, the military, police, medicine, education, religion, and so on.

And the democrats answer to this lack of confidence is to run Hillary Clinton as president.

Wow.

The Folly Of Taxing Business

It is inexorably true that a business cannot be taxed.  All taxes are paid by the end user, so when you tax Amazon or Apple or Starbucks, it is their customers, you, who ultimately pay the taxes.  A tax is just another business expense.  When you eat a Hershey bar, you have paid all of Hershey's taxes on that.

Talk about Pynchon's gambit:  Get them to ask the wrong question, who cares about the answer.  "Should corporations be taxed?"  Goofy question, cuz it asks "should we pay more taxes?"  Why not just ask, "Should we pay more taxes?"  The history of USA the last 60 years is how to get people to pay more taxes without them realizing.

Then there is the double folly of taxing a Google or banks or another false economy business.  They produce nothing, so to extract something from nothing gets you.... nothing...  but deeper in debt.  They will add to their credit lines what is mulcted by demand of the people, and then the people will get more free $#!+ added to their bill.  Things only get worse, but immediate gratification is met.

Bernie Sanders is promising all the hopes and dreams of the free $#!+ will be met... free college!  Yay! But so do the republicans, and Hillary.  Bernie is the only one expressly saying "free something" to get votes.  Trump is hated cuz he is suggesting some freebies be discontinued.  Fear and loathing!

Why not get the state out of education and let it return to when a kid working in fast food and summers could pay his way through?

Naw!  Gimme free $#!+, no matter what it costs!

The Belt and Road Freight Trade Index

Your isolating policies of war, and more war have made the rest of the world look elsewhere to trade.

Pope John Paul II (now Saint John Paul) said evil government is like a cloud, a weather pattern, that moves from one place to another, slowly.  Russia, China, Eastern Europe, now it seems to be settling in on North America.  Central Asia is brightening.

And next election our choices will be....  ummm... Bush and Clinton.
